Gov Sarah Palin is McCAin’s Vice President pick. She is definitely a nod to the pro-life crowd, because the baby Sarah Palin gave birth to earlier this year at the age of 44 has Down’s Syndrome, so the McCain campaign is hoping people will think, “Look at this wonderful powerful woman who decided to give birth to a child that she knew would have serious, life threatening health and developmental issues instead of having an abortion.”

The reality is that Sarah Palin’s choice to keep her pregnancy is a private family matter. Whatever happened to the idea of privacy and the government staying out of people’s medical decisions?
